A Song of A Stranger

He wakes up in the morning
As usual
The birds chirp to welcome the day
More birds, fewer birds
Does not matter
His feet touch the floor
Cold or hot
Still the same
He looks at the mirror
Brushes his teeth
The foam occupies and being spat out
Like things start and end
Taking a shower
Hoping to refresh
Nothing works out
He goes back to his room
Getting dressed and putting the tie on
Still not special
Confidence stagnant and the door opens
He starts the car and heads to work
At work he sits very still
The mind speeds up
What to do?
Colleagues operate like machines
He thinks for a second
Digging deep into work
Satisfaction comes and goes
Every clicking sound
He hears with no intention
Every chit-chatting
He listens with indifference
He belongs and never belongs
He does not know
9–6 same as usual
Or unreasonable?
No complaints whatsoever
He goes back home
A set of routines
Searching for meanings
He misses the sunset
Shrugging his shoulder
What to do?
Switching on the TV
The TV People get excited
For earning billions of dollars
For killing innocent people
To save the world
He switches to another channel
He laughs and cries
Does not matter why
He feels tired
The body wants to rest
The mind goes missing
As usual
He goes to bed early
Near the window
Fireworks decorating the sky
Lights of buildings everywhere
He cannot see
He turns his back on the window
He smiles for no reason
Life has no reasons,
He goes to sleep
No dreams
Just snoring.
